Welcome to di-lab at KAIST! di-Lab has been led by Professor Park, Kyung Ryul since 2018. We are an interdisciplinary research group with a focus on technology, development, and governance. New emerging technologies and current data revolution greatly impact not only our daily lives but also global governance. These socio-technical phenomena call for transdisciplinary research to investigate the fundamental relationship between technology, national and global development.
Reflecting this trend, "di" stands for development innovation, digital inclusion, and data ingenuity. Research topics and questions of interest include, but are not limited to the following:

KAIST 박경렬 교수와 di-Lab(디랩)의 홈페이지 방문을 환영합니다! di-Lab은 과학기술, 국가 발전, 글로벌 거버넌스의 관계를 연구하고 있습니다. 디지털 기술의 부상과 데이터 혁명은 우리의 일상생활 뿐 아니라 글로벌 기술경쟁과 국제개발협력의 장에도 큰 영향을 미치고 있습니다. 이러한 사회기술적(socio-technical) 현상은 국가와 글로벌 발전에 있어 과학기술의 역할과 복잡성을 분석하는 다학제적(transdisciplinary)이고 현장중심적인 연구를 필요로 합니다.
'di'는 발전을 위한 혁신 (development innovation), 디지털 포용 (digital inclusion), 데이터 독창성 (data ingenuity) 이라는 세 가지 가치를 의미하며 주요 연구분야는 아래와 같습니다.
