di-Lab at the 2026 STP Workshop in Jeju
From October 22 to 24, 2026, di-Lab members Seunghyun, Ryanna, Seohee, Jiyeon, Hojin, and Sofea, together with Prof. Kyungryul Park, participated in the STP Workshop held in Jeju. Over three days and two nights, the workshop provided a valuable opportunity for the members to connect not only with one another but also with students from other labs and members of the STP community.
Beyond the usual academic routines, the workshop allowed the members to take a step back and unwind. From exploring the scenic trails of Songaksan and Tarabbi Oreum to experiencing the forest paths of Hwasangsan Gotjawal, the participants had the opportunity to enjoy some of Jeju's beautiful landscapes. The recreational activities, led by fellow lab member Hojin, also brought out a more playful and competitive side of the group. The activities served as a pleasant reminder that di-Lab members can be just as athletic as they are academically driven! These experiences were complemented by opportunities to enjoy Jeju's local cuisine, including its fresh seafood and traditional dishes.
More importantly, the workshop provided an opportunity for the members to reflect on their experiences and the kind of academic community they hope to build. It served as a reminder that a strong research environment is shaped not only by academic pursuits, but also by mutual understanding, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose. As the members return to their respective responsibilities, they look forward to carrying the shared memories, connections, and renewed energy from Jeju into their future endeavours, both inside and outside the lab.
